Registration of an insured under Chapter Five for those who have a commercial license

Registration of self-employed Kuwaiti insured persons under the provisions of Chapter Five and the like at PIFSS.

The provisions of Chapter Five apply to the following categories:

Lawyers / Engineers / Accountants / Doctors ... and others
Merchants
Full time managing partners (e.g.: Limited Liability Company or Limited Partnership - Limited Partner)
Owners of taxis and fishing vessels
Owners of medical institutions
Owners of newspapers and magazines
Owners of places of business intended for the public, such as restaurants and cafes
Factory and workshop owners
Other categories whose activities require a license from the competent authority

The commencement bracket for Chapter Five insurance for academic qualifications holders is determined according to the relevant schedule. With effect from 01/03/2019, no insured person may contribute to a bracket that is less than the commencement bracket according to his academic qualification on this date, with the right to contribute to a higher bracket.

Valid civil ID of the insured
Birth certificate or age assessment
Nationality
Academic qualification
Commercial license or authorization to practice from the competent authority
The company’s memorandum of association, and amendments thereto (if any)
Inscription from the Real Estate Registry (if any). The inscription issued by the commercial register, if any
Acknowledgment of the insured

Lawyer's ID
A certificate from the Public Authority for Civil Information in the name of the law firm
A certificate from the Kuwait Bar Association to practice the profession, whether being the owner of a law firm or a partner in a firm, stating the date of practice
