Service Description

Registration of self-employed Kuwaiti insured persons under the provisions of Chapter Five and the like at PIFSS.

Terms and Condtions

​The provisions of Chapter Five apply to the following categories:
  • Lawyers / Engineers / Accountants / Doctors ... and others
  • Merchants
  • Full time managing partners (e.g.: Limited Liability Company or Limited Partnership - Limited Partner)
  • Owners of taxis and fishing vessels
  • Owners of medical institutions
  • Owners of newspapers and magazines
  • Owners of places of business intended for the public, such as restaurants and cafes
  • Factory and workshop owners
  • Other categories whose activities require a license from the competent authority

  • The commencement bracket for Chapter Five insurance for academic qualifications holders is determined according to the relevant schedule. With effect from 01/03/2019, no insured person may contribute to a bracket that is less than the commencement bracket according to his academic qualification on this date, with the right to contribute to a higher bracket.

Documents Required

​Forms:
  • An insured contribution form for the categories benefiting from the provisions of Chapter Five

Documents:
  • Valid civil ID of the insured
  • Birth certificate or age assessment
  • Nationality 
  • Academic qualification 
  • Commercial license or authorization to practice from the competent authority
  • The company’s memorandum of association, and amendments thereto (if any)
  • Inscription from the Real Estate Registry (if any). The inscription issued by the commercial register, if any
  • Acknowledgment of the insured

Documents required from the category:
Lawyers:
  • Lawyer's ID
  • A certificate from the Public Authority for Civil Information in the name of the law firm
  • A certificate from the Kuwait Bar Association to practice the profession, whether being the owner of a law firm or a partner in a firm, stating the date of practice
