Transaction of the death of a pensioner or an insured person (disbursement of the death grant)

Service Description

Application for disbursement of the death grant upon the death of the insured or pensioner whose amount is equal to:
  • ​Double the pension of the pensioner
  • Double the basic salary that is subject to the insurance for the insured and double the supplementary pension
  • Double the contribution bracket for the self-employed insured.



Terms and Condtions

- The grant is disbursed to whom the insured or the pensioner determines during his lifetime
- In the event that the insured or the pensioner does not specify to whom the grant will be paid after his death, it shall be disbursed as follows:
  • In the event of the death of a man, the grant is first due to his widow(s), then to the father, then to the mother, and then to the eldest son who is not entitled to the pension
  • In the event of the death of the woman, the grant is first due to the husband, then the eldest son who is not entitled to the pension, then the father and then the mother
  • In the absence of those mentioned above, the grant shall be paid to the beneficiaries pro-rata their entitlement to the pension
  • In the event that there are no eligible beneficiaries, it shall be disbursed to the legal heirs through the Ministry of Justice

  • Application for death grant disbursement
  • Application form for suspension / termination of a pension share or pension

Documents:
  • Civil ID of the concerned person or the passport for non-Kuwaiti
  • Death certificate
  • Certification of succession
  • Salary transfer certificate with account number (IBAN) for the beneficiary to death grant

Note:
  • Certification of Succession

  • The official document issued outside the State of Kuwait must be attested by the official authorities in the country of issuance (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and the Kuwaiti Embassy​
